Three Signs You Aren’t Asking for What You Want

1. You call it “compromise” when it’s really settling.
You keep telling yourself you’re being flexible or “team-oriented,” but deep down you know you’re shrinking your own ask to make someone else comfortable. That’s not compromise. That’s fear wearing business casual. Speak your mind - they need to hear it.  

2. You’re labeled “easy to work with.”
Let’s be honest, if you’re never called difficult or a bitch, have you even made it? Playing nice is how women are taught to survive, but it’s also how we disappear. Don't confuse nice with kind. Kind is decisive, nice is submissive. Go be that kind bitch.  

3. You walk away from meetings mad at yourself, not them.
That knot in your chest isn’t anxiety, it’s resentment for betraying your own wants. You didn’t ask. You didn’t push. You made everyone else’s priorities sound more important than your own. They aren't. You can make the difference.  

Now go get what you want - you fucking deserve it.

RIP Diane Keaton. Her legacy and contributions are so important. She gave women permission to be fully themselves, quirky, flawed, and brilliant all at once. She broke the mold with her Annie Hall style, proving femininity didn’t need to be polished to be powerful. On-screen and off, she showed that women could build lives, careers, and identities entirely on their own terms. Never married, a mother in her 50's, she broke the traditional mold and did it all with humor and style. She will be missed.
