“Amanda de Cadenet has been in the public sphere for more than 30 years, best known recently for centering women on her popular podcast, “The Conversation.” Now, she’s ready to explore a new category: men.

In “The Conversation: About the Men,” the 50-year-old discusses topics including mental health and positive sexual intimacy with notable guests, like Zachary Levi and Mike Tyson, making the argument that what’s needed to advance the feminist movement is for men to step up and be part of the dialogue.”

Speak Out Act Advances in Congress

Gretchen Carlsons Speak Out Act, which would ban the use of non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) that prevent survivors of sexual harassment or assault in the workplace from speaking out about their experiences was unanimously approved by the Senate Judiciary Committee last month!

Marshall Plan for Moms — Ban on Books

In September, good friend of The Justice Dept. and founder of Girls Who Code, Reshma Saujani, learned that her books were being banned in schools across the U.S.

She wrote all about the experience in Newsweek, shining a light on unjust book bans and how we can stop them from happening in schools.

“We put out these books for the same reasons I founded Girls Who Code a decade ago: to inspire and empower girls to pursue careers in technology—high-paying jobs that offer a path towards economic independence. It quickly became clear that the girls who needed these opportunities most—girls without access to computers or reliable WiFi—were going to be the hardest to reach. And so, hellbent on meeting them where they're at, we created the Girls Who Code book series to ensure no girl would be left out of the movement we were building.”

Her organization Marshall Plan For Moms is fighting back and working for change in moments just like these. Learn more about them here.
